| The
first of 4 needs is education. Our techs attended Volvo's first school pertaining to computer-controlled
engines. Our staff of technicians also believes in education,
we have several currently attending diesel classes after work,
and will have more completely certified in all Volvo products
new and old by Feb 2004. |
| The second need is parts and service
information.JAS
Marine is connected to all its suppliers via the Internet. A
quick part inquiries, product info, and service materials are
all at our tech's reach through the tech's workstation. Service
trucks carry minor replacement parts and the most current shop
manuals. Our parts departments are second to none, completely
computer managed, with only the most current products stocked. |
| The third need is proper tooling. Our techs are certified on computer controlled engines. The
techs carry on their trucks all needed computers and scan tools
necessary for correct diagnoses. |
| The fourth and most
important need is communications. The internet makes it possible not only to connect "in house", but also to factory service reps and even
other dealers. Without this real time communication, resolving
issues in the field would be too time consuming and almost cost
prohibitive. |
